Awesome pressing. Clear, deep and rich sound! I don't compare it to US pressing, but this is amazing pressing.
-
This UK pressing seems rarer and goes for considerably more than US counterparts. I initially went for the US press as it was mastered by Ludwig, it was cheaper, and as the information in this article states, that despite the fact it was recorded in England, funding came from a US executive and they were signed to a US label; Janus Records. Perhaps the master tapes went to the US and the UK pressing comes from a copy?
(Paragraph 5&6) The Message: How Cymande’s cult funk debut shaped the golden age of hip hop.
Will have to seek out this pressing for comparision! -
Excellent quality sound on this pressing. Recorded in the UK and also the first UK press, strangely released one year later than some other places in the world.
