I can attest to the other reviews, the sound gets better on side B. I have just bought Anthrax - Among The Living and its cut quieter which seems to help the sound. I am wondering if I need to get a US press to get the best sound.

This just sounds how it’s supposed to sound, and that’s great. Turn it up and enjoy. It’s thrash at the end of the day. Side B sounds better than A for me but it’s all good and this album is so enjoyable anyway even if some say the production is bad - which it isn’t. -
I always found the production disappointing on this album. It was much better on Spreading The Disease and State Of Euphoria. I don't know - I always found this to be a pretty thin sounding recording. Perhaps more recent remasters have been better. -
