On my copy, side one, track 3, the grooves are faint and looks almost as smooth as dead wax. Does anyone else have this on their copy? I'm not sure if it was an individual pressing defect or affects all.
Either way, album sounds muddy. I picked up 2020 release and much better dynamics. -
Very quiet, perhaps because they didn't want to compress dynamics. But I'd say it's even very quiet/too quiet. Because when you crank the gain/volume, you also crank the noise...

My copy has some pops like a few others have stated. Some, but not too bad. The issue with my copy is a very low level warble I can hear between tracks. Does any one else have this noise, or warble between tracks? I think it is over the whole LP, but only notice it between tracks.

My copy sounds pretty good. It does have a couple pops. But other than that, it's a quality sounding pressing to my ears. It's a tad quiet, though assume that's more to do with the quantity of music on it. LP arrived flat and came in an unusually sturdy jacket (so many represses these days come in flimsy jackets).

After listening to both original 1993 UK pressing & this 2015 reissue, I would say that the reissue sounds really good (crystal clear sound !), but the music is at a much lower level, so possible pressing flaws obviously stand out more...
My copy of the 2015 reissue has little noises here & there, but nothing annoying, and the cover is very well done (& thicker than the original).
Yes, the flawless original Capitol pressing remains matchless, but, hum, it's not in the same price category... -
Special ordered this issue and it sounds like absolute crap!! Cracking and popping throughout the whole album, both sides. It's the only album on vinyl of my collection that sounds like crap!!

Im actually quite confused here, i finally decided to get one and holy shit, this sounds really good, excellent mastering with a scoop EQ, the only crackles/ pops in this are between A1 and A2 the rest of the LP is quite silent, really surprised and also the OG pressings are between 300 - 500 so if you find this on sale (like i did) my advice would be take the risk
