I feel this pressing has been overproduced and overmastered. The bass is VERY prominent on this pressing, and using DJ needles like Shure Whitelabels it can become quite fuzzy, something other records I tested don't have. Stereo image is not optimal. Don;t get me wrong, I'm glad there's a cheaper version of this sought after 12" available. But soundwise...meh.

DE tends to push the bass but not as much as others, a fine substitute but the originals are preferred, have higher clarity and fidelity

Sounds 2D instead of the original's 3-D sound. Bad mastering or vinyl rip?

Re mastering at DE is always great, there's a lot worse out there.

The quality of this remaster is good overall. All the original distortions and buzzes are intact; they are part of the charm of these productions and it's great to hear them in all their glory. The EQ is typical for a Dark Entries/George Horn release. The bass is solid, and the uppermost treble range is rolled off a bit more than I'd like (which seems to be common on pressings on this label) but nothing essential is missing, just give it a little boost and it's fine. The only error I spotted was that from start to finish, the attacks of the TR-808 percussion have been muted slightly—victims of aggressive noise reduction, I suspect. However in this case it is not as bad or as distracting as in the Spacer Woman reissue.
