Edited 7 days agoIncredible pressing. What they did with these 2016s are a blessing. If I were to do anything different, it would maybe be increase the volume of the vocals on AHM.

This is the first record I ever bought, long before I had a turntable. My copy sounds excellent to this day nearly 9 years later. Good times.

There are many pops and crackles on my record, despite trying various cleaning methods. It's a shame, as I really like this album
-
Cleaned it ultrasonically right out of the gate, and sounds perfect. Dead quiet, love the master…prefer this to the original pressings by a longshot.

I bought this record new and I have to say that the pressing is truly fantastic. The mastering is also excellent but this case is the perfect example that excellent mastering is absolutely not enough to cover obvious mixing defects. The dynamics are reduced to a minimum and the sounds are heavily muffled even in places where there is a real improvement. These are defects that carry over from the original print and have never been resolved (I'm 63 years old and I know something about it since I've had at least a dozen copies trying every time to find a better one, but there was no way...) Is it possible that there is no one who tries to remix (in the style of Steven Wilson, for example...) this great masterpiece?

Bought brand new sealed. Record is quite flat. Very good mastering. Great separation and dynamics. Almost dead quiet except for very minimal surface noise on a very few ages and one single pop during Summer '68. With WYWH, this is my best experience with Floyd's 2016 remasters to date. Glossy jacket is very nice looking. 4.7 / 5
