Edited 2 years agoGreat sounding pressing. I have a '72 Japanese pressing, a '69 RG Presswell and a '74 GP Monarch (both sides) and 2 '74 Presswell represses. As aweave20 says the Piros mastered versions have nothing to be ashamed it is a great sounding pressing anyone should be happy to own, but it is tough to come across in good shape. But this edges it out. It is more open and dynamic.
If I was you, I'd do like me and just get yourself both and be happy. You can't own too many versions of this album.
The '72 Japanese pressing is very nice, too. But you're going to have to go out of your way to find one. So, get a UK plum and US Piros first.

Edited 4 years agoMASSIVE sound, soundstage is spread out and well balanced. Bass is thunderous and drums are loud and clear. Comparable to the 2005 Classic Records press, but a budget pressing that is just about as good is this one mastered by George Piros, just not as bottom heavy as this one.

Was there anything on the sleeve in this pressing? There had to have been a paper sleeve to go on the vinyl, right?
