If you want music to 'connect' you to your fingers and toes, try some flamenco.
If you want music to stroke your beard to, try some modal jazz.
If you want to give yourself a neck injury, try some heavy metal.
If however you want music to make your soul freeze whilst your heart melts, try this.
An album of two sides, Brendan on vox on the A-side, Lisa on the B-side. Both provide the necessary atmosphere to make the two halves an ethereal singularity. Stunning, thirty years on. -
Edited 18 years agoVery moody and etherial album. Amazingly takes you away to another world if you close your eyes and drift away with the opening track. Each song delivers a feeling of deep emotions and is a must have classic that stands out as one of Dead Can Dances finest albums.

Edited 19 years agoA good album, but it hasn't aged to well. The production leaves a lot to be desired, it's mared by overuse of mid-80's preset-synths. Had instead real instruments been applied this album could have been a timeless classic.
Future Sound Of London lifted the vocal sample they used on "Papua New Guinea" from the track "Dawn of the iconoclast".
