James Mason – Rhythm Of Life

Not a great pressing; it’s slightly muffled and there is some surface noise. Still listenable (it’s hard to ruin an album as great as this one) but it could’ve been a whole lot better.

I can't believe the silly prices being asked for original copies. The LP is clearly not that rare and to be fair it only has maybe two standout tracks. Come on people get a grip. This insanity needs to stop. This is coming from someone who owns an original copy.

I recently picked up this pressing. Spindle hole is a bit snug, but that’s my only “complaint.” Sounds lively with decent highs and lows, flat and clean wax. Well worth the approx.$30 I paid for an unplayed, but unsealed copy. Zero idea when this was made and by whom. Runnouts match this entry

Does anyone know the quality of this press? I’m sure it’s a Scorpio .

I. Just. Can't. Believe. It.
Today, I must have been one of the luckiest records digger in the whole world.
Today, I found a 1977 original copy of one of my favourite records ever, James Mason's "Rhythm Of Life", in NM condition, still in shrink, for.... 30 €. Yes, you read it right.
It was in a junk shop, ok, but the dealer knew a bit about records and prices. So, the only explanation that comes to my mind is that he got mistaken by thinking it was one of the numerous later reissues. But I have checked carefully, and everything matches, label, writings on runouts, stamps, fonts, logo's position - and it looks obviously like a vintage pressing, with an old importation sticker on shrink, and the unmistakable smell of a cover done decades ago.
Man, I just can't believe it.
To whoever God, Spirit, or Holy Ghost who made that happen, THANK YOU. Such wonders happen only once in a lifetime.
Oh, and just for the information : Yes, it sounds as wonderful as you would expect.
Today, life is just BEAUTIFUL.

Stevie Wonder pastiche. I've never understood the demand for this LP.

Has some noise on side A and some clicks and pops on side B. Mastering sounds not very clear too, however I don't know the original source.

Just got the reissue from '93,pressing is great,flawless,amazing album,recommend. I'm very happy with this reissue

I gave this record good clean with Audio Desk Ultrasonic and I find this reissue just fine. The vinyl is quiet and sound is quite good. For the price I wound recommend it!

just got this copy in, this is no scorpio bootleg, it sounds to good for that, i honestly think this is an official release.
