This in my opinion is a very good stereo pressing of this record for the price. I haven’t heard the MOFI, but this pressing has a very warm vintage sound. It is also detailed and dynamic. I honestly can’t complain much about this. Of course poly lined sleeves would have been nice, and I do have some slight scuffing from the paper sleeves. But I don’t hear any fault in the playback. This played very quiet with very little surface noise. I’m very happy with this. I feel this does the stereo version of this album justice without shelling the big bucks. I would bet that the sound difference between more expensive stereo pressings wouldn’t be night and day at all. Dylan also doesn’t sound as nasal than on digital formats imo. If you want this album I wouldn’t shy away from this pressing.

Trying to figure out which pressing of the three from 1972 I have. Labels are gold writing on red consistent with 1972 (and onward).
        Side A: o XSM113765-3D (what looks like a faint "D 2")
        Side B: XSM113766-3D 0 (what looks like a faint "3" or "m")
        Side C: XSM113767-3D s o (<--- s is small but etched pretty solid)
        Side D: o XSM113768-2K Z (<--- Z is etched quite large)

The "s" in side C and 2K on Side D make me think it's a Santa Maria, but the first two side don't indicate that. Did I end up and two discs from differing pressings???

A 'no-shrills' stereo pressing from 1968-nice antidote to the digital versions I've heard.

If anyone has a near mint sleeve of this pressing, I would be very interested as I’m trying to upgrade my sleeve

There are other different mixes from this point: Visions of Johana has the cymbal taps between verses in a different position. Pledging My Time seems different, less harmonica. Those are the 3 hear as different.

Ive owned this for many a year and have always enjoyed it. The vinyl is very quiet throughout. The fact its in stereo is another reason i like it. Dylan with guitar in mono is fine, but Dylan with that thin, that wild mercury sound, MUST be in stereo. The mastering is very solid. Bob and the presence region demands a top notch needle though. On the test decks the conical and ellipticals make a meal of things. The microline cures all. With that in mind, a recommended pressing.

Does anyone have the plastic sleeve with MOV sticker attached, that they’re willing to sell?

An excellent release. I disagree with the bright comments--at least on my system, but I agree his harmonica has some bite.
His voice is properly forward in the mix, but I wish there was more definition in the bass.
One caveat: if you don't like Dylan's voice, this release will not change your mind.
The plating is masterfully done at RTI; the first step required for a quality pressing. Thankfully GZ delivered with the vinyl pressing; mine is flat, centered, and quiet. The packaging is lovely. I store mine spine out so Dylan's head sits sideways.
Money well spent IMO. I bought mine at discount from VMP along with a few other pressings also at discount.

What if my/our variant does not have a T in the matrix like Var. 2? why would that be a Terre Haute Pressing?
