It’s an amazing album, i personally love it. But my vinyl came with a ton of crackles and pops that are very loud. I don’t mind them if they’re light and or not as loud but on this album it’s very loud.
Don’t recommend this pressing! -

Nice pressing itself - zero surface noise, flat vinyl. As for the vinyl mastering, and while I don't have previous pressings to compare it to, this sounds nice enough but I feel like it could have been better (the drop on "Kerosene" could have been punchier to my sense, for instance). But I'm used to rock & metal music and this is my first time getting an electronic record on vinyl, so perhaps I have different expectations and my judgement is a bit biased as on how records should sound.
"Insulin" - an odd song - sounds noticeably better against lossless digital (and it makes sense, there is a limit on how crashy and loud you can make sounds on vinyl). The rest of the songs as well.
The US 2012 first pressing (mastered at Sterling, pressed at United Record Pressing) reportedly had pressing issues that makes me doubt it'd be worth spending the extra money on against this one. The EU 2012 / CA 2016-18 releases are GZ Media and s pressings, and I don't think (but I'd happy to be proven wrong) they sound much better than this one. For a $25 pressing, it remains very nice, and I can only recommend it.

I was so happy when I saw this at ameoba! Especially since it was the last copy. I wouldn’t have known about this reissue if I didn’t see it. I thought it was an earlier pressing but the matrix told me what I needed to know. I’m happy nonetheless. Great pressing and great music! -

Did any of these Canadian versions come with inner sleeves? Mine did not and reviewing most of the past sale listings, notes say they did not come with. Can anyone confirm? -
