Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble* – Couldn't Stand The Weather

This pressing is absolutely impressive !
Amazingly quiet on all four sides and the LP`s are nice and flat.
I`d like to see a shoot out between this pressing and ANY of the 'Audiophile' pressings out there, it`s that good !!

Lots of positive comments about this pressing. Wondering if any have compared this to the first US pressing?

My Theory; after remaining clean and sober for several years, God himself bought a guitar, then discovered it is a complex instrument to play. He then looked around at the world he had created and said "I need someone to teach me how to play this instrument, Bring me Stevie Ray before he relapses".

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but this pressing is at least as good as the US first pressing. In fact it gives the recent VMP re-issue a real run for the money. The bass and drums are so damn good on this pressing. I was going to give it away but maybe I'll be keeping it...

After a few years of owning this, and getting the Analogue Productions 45 RPM version: this release is just unavoidable as the best.

MFSL squeezes everything out of the tapes (yes, onto DSD) and by the time it’s playing through my speakers I can hear harmonics and other sounds that you just don’t get with the AP version or the original pressings.

There is nothing wrong with this pressing! SRV at his best!

What a great production value ! Reasonnably priced, perfectly pressed and sounds awesome. The bass is deep, the drums spacious, stellar guitar… I don't have Mofi or AP pressings to compare, but I will be surprised that there are far better from this
