Nervous Gender – Music From Hell

Whoa, Nelly! Wait just a cotton pickin' minute here... you mean to tell me that this release is a CDr (rather than an actual genuine factory pressed CD)? What presentable evidence or other confirmation of this claim makes it clearly to be a fact?

The master tapes were taken from Subterranean Records back in the 90s. Some folks that were not involved with the original album took them and remixed them for the CD release and have held the tapes captive ever since. So.... is this reissue made from the original tape (very very unlikely), an original LP copy (possible but I kind of doubt it), or from a digital copy of the remixed album made for CD (very likely). I have two original copies but can't get myself to buy the reissue to compare. I have a hard time believing the reissue is the real album and I'm still waiting for someone else that owns a real copy to compare.

One of the best records of the 80s that should be available for everyone on a proper vinyl, was reissued first on cdr (worst format ever - I don't even consider official the cdr "reissues" .. And yeah, I mean also the BS that was sold as "factory pressed cdrs"... It is all the same and sooner or later you won't be able to listen to it. ). I love tapes for what they meant and I still buy them when I don't have alternatives... It is a cult format but annoying. Not good at all for reissues imho.

Unless this tape was made directly from an original vinyl copy it's going to be the mediocre remix version that was released on CDR. Only the original vinyl has the original mix. It's too bad because the original sounds much better.

Just got a copy of this and the track listing on the back does not match how the disc plays at all. Anyone else notice this?
