This was never sold as a separate disc = only ever available in the 4 disc Star Time box-set
Having the cover signed does not make it a variant or require a new submission -
Edited 13 years agoExcellent box set (& still the most expensive release I've ever bought - wot a skinflint!). Only scratches the surface of his output, but most of the obvious choices are here, in full-length versions, sometimes with revealing studio outtakes put back on. Probably the most noticeable track left off is "Living In America", which you might say is a blessing. The other thing missing is the stuff by the galaxy of groups & solo artists associated with him, for which you will have to search elsewhere. The first CD is broadly RnB ("Try Me" is the knockout here for me, superb soul record). The second one has him forging funk. The third could be one of the best single-artist compilation CDs ever if released on its own, all the prime era singles, funky as hell. The fourth is a little weaker imho, later period, more of a mishmash, but still better than most other peoples' entire careers! Very good booklet too.
