Edited 5 months agoTrance classic from 2001. This is not house.
Its too melodic and atmospheric to be called house.
The original mix on the a-side is progressive trance.
The B1 "S-man mix" is tribal tech-house, and the B2 Afterlife mix, is an ambient chill out version, more ambient trance again.
Still a very good trance record.

He writes:
“ Todays Vibe: After many years of asking, the label and artist didn’t hook me up.... so I decided I'd try and get the plaque I deserve.
Over a late night period I wrote to sooo many, finally I came good with a great guy at RIAA who suggested what I should do. Wasn’t easy but I got there …. Super proud.
Ohh and I won’t even bother telling those who said I’d be nothing 👀
Stay well people, seems the lurgy is back doing the rounds” -
This is such a classic! Great vocal samples from a track by toto surprisingly. Happy to have this in my collection.

"Another Chance" was seen and danced as a variation of Daft Punk's "One More Time", and well, the similarities are obvious: sentimental house tune which is catchy at the first listen. But there is certain magic about this one, a touch of genius: the bridge, when the rhythm goes out, the piano and guitar samples overlap and overlap, then silence, "BANG BANG" and the song starts again. This is very effective emotionally, touching you and throwing yourself into a dance madness.
The Toto voice is also a hint of the house music fascination with AOR that Daft Punk would ironically - as it always happens with them - make fashionable when they decided to. -
No review of this in over 8 years? Well, what can I say about it. Gorgeous, provoking to the heart, and a brilliant catchy chorus with the melodic vocals of Steve Lukather - singer of the great rock band Toto! Really speaks to the soul with just those few simple lines. Instrumentally speaking, very strong Housey sounds and a nice groovy riff plucked right from the original song itself.
In short, a beautiful House gem unfettered by its commercial-bias and still stomps out most tunes nowadays with its grand simplicity and Pop-esque approach to House Music.

Edited 20 years agoThis track is just beautiful plain and simple.A very nice melodic and thoughtful backgound put together with a nice fim beat, then of course the absolutely gorgeous vocals.
It doesnt matter that this track is on the more commercial side of house music, all that matters is that it is a good track, perfect for chilling out or those funkier sets.
