i prefer this to the 2006 remaster, the remaster sounds slightly compressed compared, to me this one sounds a bit brighter and expansive, nice bass sound too.

I too own this pressing and after giving it a well deserved bath it sounds truly great. The tracks on these records where 'recovered' from analogue tape, hence the bassy and somewhat hollow sound. Richard's debut album containing stuff he made when he was just a kid. This one has always been my favorite Aphex Twin release.

Does anyone know which exact year this pressing is from?

Agree that this pressing sounds great, and I think it uses the same plates as the original, but what is with the very noisy run out grooves? It looks like something etched into the runout making noise. Are all early pressings like this? Anyone else experience this with this pressing?

I own it since the early '00s, was a stock copy at the store, so solid NM, fully unplayed...... it sounds quite and deep, with impresseve lows but not heavy, and the stereo image is broad and expansive, I love it!!!!!

Fudge these ridiculous comments. This pressing sounds great. The bass wasn't an issue for me.

Can anyone tell me why this is known as Apollo on here, when it says R&S on the back cover? And does anyone find it ultra bass-heavy? I have to turn down the bass all the way , to be able to enjoy a balanced listen. Thanks
