Sounds pretty good. Depending on your system, you might want to bump up the treble. The bottom end is over-emphasized, in my opinion.

Can anyone who owns this please confirm that this version is _not_ translucent and actually different from the new version recently posted here: https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/Weezer-Weezer/release/16987791 ?

I have a to agree with previous posters in saying that this is a really fun edition. Sure it may not be the best example of an audiophile recording but this issue is so punchy and layered!! Can’t imagine it sounding better.

Been chasing a MOFI of this for a while, and was happy see if still available on the MOFI site for under $40 shipped. Glad I didn't get the DMM from Walmart for $17 and "splurged" on this...

Mine looks very solid until I shine a light through it and then it appears marbled. Are we sure there are two different colors that warrant two different release pages?
-
Typical MOFI low level with a bloated bottom end. The packaging and disc are gorgeous but I also felt a little let down with the sound on this one. Luckily it's going for $35.

Contrary to MichaelOC, I would say Krieg Wunderlich is pretty damn good... I have several of his remasters and they typically sound amazing. But I would also agree this pressing doesn't sound very good. It's nice that it's a colored MoFi release, a great collector's item at the very least, but the sound quality is inferior to the DMM version also released in 2016, for half the cost. I have both so no matter to me at this point but if it means being able to buy 2 records instead of this MoFi version, and the collector appeal doesn't mean much for you, then pick up a different copy. This is one of my worst-sounding MoFi releases. I also compared it to a digital version, which was just a hair below the DMM vinyl, and I mean it was splitting hairs. Alternating between the 3 in real-time, the MoFi just didn't have the brightness and clarity of the other two. A1 was MoFi, and the rest of side A was the DMM, with switchbacks to the digital version during both. Side B saw a return of the MoFi pressing, and it just didn't compare to the other 2. It had a muffled quality to it, and both people comparing the releases reached this same conclusion simultaneously.
