Though I'd briefly browsed her discography some months back, When I Get Home is my first thorough Solange experience after chancing upon a copy in a local record sale. The appropriately named LP has a warm and inviting quality, almost like you're a guest at her place. I was initially disappointed by the lack of a CD release, but I think the limited availability also adds to the record's charm. An incredible fusion of Hip-Hop, Downtempo, Jazz, and some of the more retro Electronic styles.

Shame that they ruined the transition between "Almeda" and "Time (Is)" by putting those two on different sides. -
Quiet pressing. Everything in its right place.
The album is not maybe as good as previous one but has a nice flow.
