Top sounding vinyl! Amazing to think this was pressed in the 90s when vinyl quality had fallen off the edge of a cliff at the time. The vinyl plays with outstounding sound playback, fully immersive and dynamic. One for all the queen fans and a must have for any record collection. You will not be dissapointed.

Edited 2 years agooutstanding release with heavy glossy sleeve. This is the final Queen vinyl pressing pressed at EMI's own UK facility plant together with A Day at the races AAA a year later. So a true UK Queen EMI release!

I got two versions of this record, one with coloured lettering at the cover side, one with black and white lettering at the side of the cover, rest remaining identically. Can someone clarify ?

Edited one year agoI have this pressing. It’s worth a lot now. I think I paid €30/40 in 2008. It’s a Brian May heavy release. Most of the songs were written by him!
Sounds great. 1997 was the anti vinyl era with CD dominance.
It’s a fantastic collection piece. “Hammer to Fall” and “Fat Bottomed Girls” are the album versions.
“I Can’t Live With You” is re-recorded, “I’m in Love With my Car” is the 7” single version with the engine noise at the start! “No-One But You” is a new song too. -
I the day this album was released.
I love the logic of this compilation and, most importantly, the track order.
I have listened to this album for 25 years from its original CD.
I must say that this vinyl cut beats the CD, even though some songs lose their depth.
However, I can comprehend the reasons for the standardization of different songs and recording qualities throughout Queen's carrier.
On the other hand, it's worth having this vinyl even for "I Can't Live With You" and "No-One But You". -
Does any owner of this record know about another version of an alternate front cover. I got two copies of this record (not white Label, not special 1000 with phoenix) but with different Covers.
1. Lettering on the Cover side "Queen Rocks" in coloured letters
2 Lettering on the Cover side "Queen Rocks" in Black and white letters
