Edited 9 months agoI bought the CD and DVD on release in October 2004 but I was on holidays in San Remo, Italy and I was out for an evening stroll when I came across a tiny record shop! I saw this in the window and I guess I was awake all night!
I ran down first at light and grabbed it.
It sounds pretty dull and lacks clarity with fat end and the highs a bit unfocused. You have to crank it and back off the bass and it’s not too bad. Seems compressed.
It’s was mastered by Tim Young and 1/2 Speed by Miles Showell. It deserved a little more care but it’s lovely to have it.
Some of the photos are from the US tour even the cover I think?
I love this era of Queen as the songs from The Game and Hot Space are great.
The ballads and slower songs sound better here. -
This album known at the time of its release this vinyl edition because it had come to Brian May's ears that it was going to be the first Queen album not to be released on vinyl. Indeed this edition was not announced at the start. As a result, the edition was botched to be quickly released: simple cover, no specific mastering, they had to use that of the CD, the sound is not extraordinary.

Although many fans don't like the Hot Space album, this concert beautifully justifies Hot Space's greatness.
It is an excellent pressing in every aspect. -
