I watched the Dan live this past Summer at the Hollywood Casino, IL venue. What a splendid evening. The syncopation of the Danettes was an in-person treat. Sound wise, this album captures every facet of that magical night under the stars. If I had to change one thing, about both the 2-LP and my live show experience, was that it should've included The Second Arrangement. Brilliant in every other way!

Excellent pressing. As others have noted, my only complaint is the nasty paper inner sleeves. After a cleaning though, this is a very clean quiet, pressing. Although this probably won't get as many spins as my original Dan albums, it's a fitting homage to Walter. Recommended.

My copy came from walmarts $15.00 black friday deals. The tag date was a year old. It had been sitting on the shelf. Shrink torn. Records are flat as a pancake. Dirty with paper from paper sleeves. Gave it a wipe down. Then light wet wiping. Let it dry. This album is dead silent. Cut hot, loud, and absolutely pristine. I love it. Any steely dan fan should have it. The altered arrangements of the songs are awesome. Superb pressing.

After a second listening session I stand by my comments to the fullest. There is slight sibilance on one song in particular but its due to Donald's enunciation and the song itself has many "S" sounds. The SSsssssex. Amazing records recordings of an awesome band. Booming bass and percussions with fantastic vocals and precise jazz instrumentals. I love this 2lp set.

Yes, there's sibilance as others have mentioned. But still deserves 5 stars, good to hear the Steely Dan songs in a slightly different flavour

Definitely not "dead-quiet" audiophile vinyl, and I'm definitely catching more sibilance in the vocals than I would like or expect.

With that sound, great job mastering a live album. Fantastic performance. Amazing lineup of musicians.

Worth a listen. Maybe get the FLAC too.

Excellent mastering and pressing, really nothing to fault except the crummy paper sleeves (nothing a good clean can’t fix). Aside from the debate around whether this is a “true” Steely Dan album, you have to agree the music is absolutely stellar - even if you consider it a Fagen album.

I would give it five stars, except for the crummy paper inner sleeves that left my brand new vinyl covered with dust. After a bath in the US cleaner, that's where the five star experience starts. Great performance, well recorded, and no surface noise. Highly recommended.

Fantastic sounding and pressing, although in my case a record cleaning (seemingly never ending in this "new" era of vinyl pressings) is in order. I agree with everything said already here...but what gives with the paper sleeves housing each vinyl ? Do we not understand anti static sleeves are needed, especially at vinyl this price point? And of course,my pre-order fromthe SD website arrived with both inner sleeves being split with the records shifting during shipping. Also, one of the worst Jacket/Inner Jacket designs yet in a Steely Dan labeled release. Fagen has remarked how legal wouldn't allow a Fagen release much like touring...the SD name just does better business. I wonder how true that is...considering the amount of other successful artists who proved this wrong. Still, soild music and pressing, and that's what counts.

Warm, Full and flatly pressed album with little to no surface noise. Another one for the fans with great mastering from Bernie Grundman.
