On my copy it sounds like the music is almost ducking on some parts, for example the chorus to "Jack Of Speed". Anyone else hear this in their copy? -
Edited one year agoJust got this from a French discogs seller yesterday, seems as I've being lucky, my copy is fantastic, flat and completely noise free, it grades as A+ on my Puffin which is basically means Mint. Soundwise it's truly fantastic, punchy and dynamic and full of detail, one of my best sounding records, get it if you can!.

This version sounds more compelling and slightly more dynamic than the APP. The sound stage is also a bit better. The same, by the way, with „Everything Must Go“. However, the reference here is still the CD edition -
Analogue Productions reissue says it will not be AAA, but rather ADA. Does anybody know if this RSD release was AAA?

Mine relates to European German Pressing.
I've had this on CD for a few years, it was only when I bought the this vinyl pressing I really ' got' the album.
Fantastic pressing, no issues at all, very dynamic, super deep bass, sounds very similar to DF Morph The Cat in this respect, expansive and detailed soundstage. One of my top 20 pressings I would say. In my view an audiophile disc.
The cover is nothing to write home about, its a rework of the cd artwork, gatefold would have been great, mine came with black poly lined inner sleeves which is nice to see.
Well worth buying, but this will be a scalpers dream............... -
Somehow found this at retail price last week so leapt at the opportunity to add it to my collection. Sounds fantastic, clearly analog and with tons of punch. Only minor complaint is that a gatefold (or even better, cramming the whole thing onto one disc) might have been nice! But provided it doesn't get re-pressed, so glad it's safe in my home for years to come. Great, great album.
