A Factory Record.
First edition. Later UK editions can have a die-cut cover with thin matte black inner sleeve, or a die-cut cover with thick glossy black inner sleeve, or a plain black with just the colour coding and different inner sleeves.
The coloured strip is not random - it spells out the Catalog#, band name and both song titles.
The back cover of "Power, Corruption and Lies" has the same colour coding, done with the alphabet (a decoder ring).
First pressing: 60,000 copies (30,000 pre-sales).
Initial A1/B1 pressings are characterised by a heavy and opaque vinyl. Runout space is 0.35 inches. The first edition thick silver inner sleeve has straight top corners.
"Outvoted" in the runout refers to an error made by the Strawberry engineer, who brought up the fader too late and missed the first drumbeat. New Order took a vote as to whether the mistake should stay, and the yes vote prevailed.
All runout information is etched apart from the word STRAWBERRY, which is stamped.
Can come either with a single pressing ring or with dipped labels (e.g. variant 16), both characteristic for MVS Record Pressing.

As has been noted on the listing the original pressings appear in later versions of the cover.
I have the vinyl A1/B1 vinyl (- FAC-73-A-1 MT. STRAWBERRY OUT VOTED! // FAC-73-B-1 MT. HO.EL+TEL! STRAWBERRY ) but in a plain, non die-cut outer sleeve, glossy black card inner.
Any tips on how to list in my collection? -
I have an unknown copy of it, maybe anybody could ay something about that. Mainly everything is like the original german first press. Runouts are: Factory / RTD 10 A -Factory / RTD 10 B Both Sides Mastered by SNB.
Labels are Similar but they are not black! They are greyish! Can send pictures. Is it a bad copied counterfight?? But pressing and feeling are high quality, like original. Anybody who could help?? -
My version says.
FAC-73-A-1 MT.2 STRAWBERRY OUT VOTED!
FAC-73-B-1 MT.1 STRAWBERRY HO.EL + TEL!
It does have the .35" runout and the hard sqaure corner sleeves.
Anyone have any ideas where this fits in in lineage? -
For all you "completist" where did the the tune come from knobheads... try listening to the 1976 released dub lp "Sound System International-Dub Lp by Clancy Eccles and King Tubby on the Clandisc label. Track 4 on the og vinyl is called" Dub Star"... go figure !!!! 👍😎

I’m surprised that it doesn’t seem to be mentioned so far from what I can see but without stating the obvious, this outer sleeve and inner sleeve is meant to replicate a floppy disc. Ask your father.

this was a favourite at Pizza Lapazello, Paris back in 1989.
People want crazy about it on June 5 of that year and the day after even.

New Order - Blue Monday - Rare 124 BPM Version - ID Track?
_______
Hi track collectors enthusiasts!
I recently stumbled upon an 8:15-minute version of New Order's "Blue Monday" at 124 BPM, but unfortunately, the compression quality is pretty bad at 128 kbps. I'm hoping to find a better digital version of it.
I've attached a link for you to listen to it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FQDIda1N2pogLK1g8KIX1Vre-BZcyvd3/view?usp=sharing
Does anyone have any advice on the exact name of this version? -
Hello
I bought this 12 inch and the cover, inner sleeve and matrices match this version. However the record has the dipped label, I don't understand which version it is
anyone can help me? -
Help appreciated: I have a copy with the following matrix, which indicates that it is the 1st press. Misses the first bars and the Runout space is 0.35 inches.
Matrix / Runout (Side A - variation 14): FAC-73-A-1 MT.6 G4 STRAWBERRY OUT VOTED!
Matrix / Runout (Side B - variation 14): FAC-73-B-1 MT.6 G4 HO.EL + TEL! STRAWBERRY
But it comes with a plain cover printed without cut-outs with the cut-outs left black and it has plain white inner sleeve with 'Patent Nos. 1,125,555' and 'Made in Great Britain', which suggests it is this version:https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/release/6002207-New-Order-Blue-Monday
But then the matrix/Runout doesn't fit - this one doesn't have MT.6 G4 on both sides.
Is it the first pres vinyl, but in a wrong sleeve and inner?

A legion of idiot fans saying Bobby orlando ripped this shit off when he had the same beats with Griffith and flirts in 81/82... It's like you're all dumb and don't care about chronological order.. Just what you like, lol peons🤣
