My local record store has this (in used bin), cover and vinyl look NM-, almost untouched but the surface noise was horrible. I’d avoid. -
Stunning pressing of their best album to date. I have an OG copy, and this blows the OG pressing clear out of the water. Amazing dynamics and highly crankable. So glad I got mine at an inexpensive price when it was first released..

I believe this PLAIN vinyl records editions aren't official. That's why I'm avoiding these. -

This record sounds really good. The record is flat, heavy, mostly quiet, but did come with some sleeve scuffs out of the box. Clean it before you put it on as it was a little dirty from the factory which attributed to the faint noise that at no time overpowered the music. Artwork is great and the Tip-On sleeve is top notch. I bought this version new when it came out and it has sounded the same on the few systems I have played it through for the past ten years. For the price it is a great buy. Currently my standard volume is 32 and this record I play at 40. -
Picked up a copy. I think PLAIN has stepped it up in the last year or so. My copy sounds good!

I have the same noise issue with mine. Awful. Not sure which I have now either. I thought it was this 2010. It has the white sleeve plus insert with credits on one side photos on the other. -
I'm not sure if my copy is a 2010 (this release) or a 2015 (8688257). It's hard to find unique identifying information to distinguish the two. Barcodes are the same. The other review on this 2010 release page mentions a white inner sleeve, so that's what I'm going off of (mine has a white sleeve, too).
Either way, the pressing is TERRIBLE. The worst new record I have ever listened to. So much surface noise, scratching noises frequently on almost all tracks, usually in the right channel, popping noises quite frequently, too. The volume is so low, you have to turn it up ~30% from usual, and the already loud surface noises get amplified more. This ruins the quiet and sensitive ages on this album. Wet cleaning did not help much. Shucks, it's back to digital for this one. I'm hoping to return the disc. -
This is an outstanding 180g pressing. Comes in a white protective sleeve. Sounds is impeccable. No issues whatsoever. I've heard issues with the other by plain. If you can find this, get it.
