Supposedly there are some Janet Jackson samples somewhere within one of the tracks. I'd swear there's a huge klf sample. definetly on some other level, compared to most other producers. sure people were mad that everything was sliced to an inch of its life including the vocals, these aren't entirely new techniques, Coil and earlier to Steve Reich chopped up things to achieve something new from something stolen. Technics have long held a blade to anything that can be backspun and messed with, and what about these beats are really fresh?!! how many times has that been mangled? so what's the fuss all about then? in the ascendency of glitch based music into a proper form of music this was amazing music compared to what else is out there, at least for the time that it came out. scott herrens music compared to a lot of it out there has personality, along with the sounds.
