Just picked this up in a sale and listening to side 1 now.
Whilst there is noise in between each track (like a wind blowing) the songs themselves sound good. There’s plenty of bass and clarity of instruments. Not the greatest pressing but not the worst -
This picture disc sounds pretty bad but is still worth buying if you want the art work and liner notes. If you are just looking for the amazing sound, just stick with the 180g black vinyl release
-
Be aware of the sound. Lacking in dynamics(no bass) compared to previous reissues on vinyl. Yes, i know picture discs seldom has the same great sound, but i have other recent picture discs that sounds good. This is not good. Cool to have, but dont buy it as your first Powerslave on vinyl. Go for black pressing.

The sound quality is decent enough given it is a pictures disc. Of course a black vinyl pressing typically sounds superior, but I would have kept my copy if it didn't had skips. Very nice packaging, sound quality acceptable, but has skips on B side. So returned!

Strange reviews. Literally nearly all picture discs sound like crap. Nobody buys them for the quality of the audio.
-
very unhappy with this release. The sound is awefull (noise, clicks). The animation is a nice idea but not visible to the eye at normal 33rpm. Plus, only the outer ring of images has animations embedded.
Overall artwork is nice, but not worth the -
Is this supposed to be a 40th-anniversary special edition? What a joke in of quality control. They're laughing at us. My copy has clicks, crackling, and two skips on both sides of the record. Plus, there's a constant noise, like wind, that can be heard between tracks. A huge disappointment... It looks beautiful, and the record is visually stunning. Such a shame.

The pressing is awful. The surface noise makes this unlistenable. If you just want a limited edition, keep it wrapped.

Edited 6 months agoArt is nice, but sound fall completely short; there is almost no bass, all songs sound flat. A lot of popping on the two innermost songs on the record. This was a lesson, I`ll only stick with black records from now on, and will always try to find reviews of the exact pressing I want before spending a lot of money. I only found this comment section after getting the record with the BAR-code, directing me here. Would not have bought had I seen this comment section beforehand.
