By far his absolute masterpiece and a true classic for the whole genre of experimental electronic music. Every song full with unusual beats, weirdo melodies and bursting of sinister pranks. Gave me a grasp of the different sonic possibilities within electronic music 15 years ago and the amazement never left me when listening to this. Listening to this for 15 years now ... so you can call it truly timeless indeed :)

Edited 18 years agoOne of the best Aphex Twin albums out there. A great introduction to his glitch-style-humor-drum-n'-bass. 'Come To Daddy' is an obvious classic and I can't listen to it now without seeing the video images...arghhhh. The two other 'Come To Daddy' remixes are fairly good too, unlike his Girl/Boy versions. 'Film' is a great short track with excellent textured notes. 'Buscephalus Bouncing Ball' is RDJ having fun with glitch drums and tinkles, wicked stuff. The best track on here is 'To Cure A Weakling Child, Contour Regard'. The original is a great track but this version is so perfect and sound so serious. It gets me moving!
