Rough Rider was not written by Prince Buster. It was written by The Four Gees in 1967. The Four Gees consisted of Derv Gordon, Eddy Grant, Lincoln Gordon, and Patrick Grant. Best LP from The Beat & of the Ska revival in the late 70s / early 80s .
This copy is VG+ condition -
This UK pressing is a considerable improvement over the Canadian pressing. In fact, I was genuinely surprised by how good this record sounds. And it’s hard to beat the music. What a time capsule! -

The Specials may have received most of the plaudits for their debut album during the ska revival of the early 1980's but in my opinion this is a better album. Every song is a gem . Personal favourite is Big Shot , but I also love the Andy Williams cover of I can't stand losing you and of course Mirror in the bathroom is a stone cold classic.
