"i wont hurt you" is sampling Carl Bean "I was born this way" (1977) https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/Carl-Bean-I-Was-Born-This-Way/release/632664

any listeners of "on a journey" will undoubtedly think back to the 1986 classic Mr Fingers "Can You Feel It" https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/Mr-Fingers-Washing-Machine/release/1948

Ahhh! House heaven - every track. So, so good. The 'motherfucker' rework is still sounding incredibly fresh to my ears. I defy anyone to stand still to it. Seek this one out.

Wow! Finaly figured this one out!I Won't Hurt You (I Swear)'s main loop is lifted from Carl Bean - I Was Born This Way - Check at 04:49! Great use of the original sample, totaly transfiguring it. Need I say this is one of the alltime best house track ever?

Edited 18 years agoUnbelievable Classic 12". Work That MF is the shit, but my fave is "i Won't Hurt U". Uses a disco Sample on a very unique and hyptnotic way, and the Kraftwerk Sample brings it to the point. I when it came out in 1991, i was 17years old and was entering the Record shop 1 or 2 times (only) per month... always in search of Chicago house, so when i found this, saw the Label design, and "Produced by Mike dunn" i ask the Record Shop owner, if this is something from Dj International (which i was collecting at that time), he say: no, it isn't. I ask to have a listen, but he wanted to close for that day and say: No, this record is nothing for you, sorry. but i ask 2 or 3 times more and he say: ok, but please short only. What should i say. After 15 Seconds i stopped and asked why he think that this is nothing for me. This is defenetly EXACT the shit i want. Now, 16years later this record is STILL kicking me.

Edited 5 years agoB1 is a brilliant remix of Steve Poindexters Motherfucker. Mike Dunn uses a male vocalist, funky bassline and strings to put this chi-town classic into a housy way. As good as the original but not much public. Great.
