Compared to the original this new one has a more full range sound. The original has more air around the instruments and its crisper but has less bass. Worth every penny.

Edited one month agoI haven't heard the original, but its got to be in the top 50 albums that exist. This album is one of my all-time favorites.

Oh baby is this a fantastic pressing and overall visual presentation or what fam? Yes, they have done the Don proud his vocals punch through the wall of Funky Soul with exquisite detail.
Profoundly Recommend -
This is a soul powerhouse, with the raw energy of “Hard Times” and the dreamy groove of “A Change is Going to Come” making it a timeless funk-soul journey.
The Run Out Groove vinyl release brings new life to its explosive soul sound, capturing every raw vocal and vibrant instrumental detail in high fidelity with amazing pressing. I am so happy to have it in my collection. -
Amazon has a few left for $25. Get them quick. I just got my copy and it plays very well. Very happy given the price and hard to find clean OG copies at a reasonable price.

Echoing all of the comments here. This is a fantastic pressing, lively, and dead quiet. Top notch. I’ll add, and it seems I’m the only one, but the depth of low end is really lacking for the nature of the music and sounds a bit thin down under. Maybe it was mixed that way. Not sure. Otherwise, would be perfect.

Fantastic AAA mastering job by Chris Bellman on this one. Record Industry also did an excellent job pressing it. If you missed the limited 2xLP, just get this version and you won't be disappointed. A shame the artist didn't live long enough to record more material. A true classic of 70s funky soul music.

Edited 3 years agoI love when these fucking labels put a Limited Edition hype sticker on these and don’t indicate how many. This was released in June of 2019 and I bought one TODAY at an FYI that just opened a couple of months ago. ROG website says it’s limited to 3000 copies
This does sound amazing. Another CB gem. Don’t hesitate to get it if you find one. -
Very happy with how good this sounds as well as the absolutely stellar heavyweight tip on jacket. Nothing but quality here. Looking forward to future Run Out Groove reissues!
