Great album, but this pressing is horrible. I hear terrible distortion, a muddied soundstage, and a general lack of clarity.

just got a copy - love the color but there are a few pops/crackles during the quieter parts. nbd as the presentation makes up for it

Unfortunately, this band has terrible luck with vinyl releases. I picked up two copies of this variant and one of the merlot wave. The merlot wave mostly sounds better, though the first couple of tracks have significant surface noise.
I bought two copies of Con Todo El Mundo hoping to get one that sounded decent. Both were awful pressings as well.
Such a drag that so many modern vinyl releases seem to have QC issues. A lot of it is the colored vinyl. I know that’s a contentious subject. But to be fair, even the standard black vinyl releases have problems lately. -
Edited 4 years agoSide A was distorted on whispered vocals and guitars. I thought it was a production choice, but nope, MP3 reveals that is not the case. So disappointed, the last album sounded incredible on vinyl! Might be the fault of this jazzy, multi-coloured pressing, think I'll stick with good ol' standard black from now on...

jacket is impeccable. b side label was not slapped on flat, has a few air bubbles underneath but it does not affect playability. I too notice some surface noise but that could be: brand new vinyl or the fact i have the volume cranked up real high and theres alot of space instrumentally. i saw a few people mention compression and from what i can tell with my alright set up some vocals get lost but the instruments are clear and sound great. at this point i think its up to which color variant you want.
