Personally I enjoyed the direction they went with this project. Previously only listening to Con el Todo El Mundo and Texas Sun, this project felt like an easier listen and had a more upbeat direction within ages. However, as for the sound quality, the guitars and bass definitely felt muffled in some ages or not clear. Unsure if that was intentional but overall had to adjust some things for the sound to be more full and less flat. Honestly, I could see myself enjoying con el todo el mundo more if the sound quality is better, still would have to pick it up but for now Mordechai is currently playing.

After reading reviews about some of the other pressings, I'm glad this is the one I ended up pre-ordering. My copy is flat, quiet, and crisp after 10+ plays and nothing but the standard brush treatment.

Hardly a perfect sounding record but if you really want to own this on vinyl then this is probably the version to go for. It sounds better than the standard black pressing for sure but its not without issues. On my copy some tracks ( A4 for eg. ) still suffer from the same compression and muffled sound that the black version has all over. Other tracks are fine, not perfect but liveable. Considering how crispy and crystal clear the actual digital versions sound this is a one disappointing press all throughout. Will be keeping this version as the Merlot Red does look beautiful but I suspect the CD will be getting all the playtime.

Mine sound quite good, and sound much better by adjusting tracking force. For me, it sound better when increasing it.

Man this version sounds nice. Might be the one to pick if you're on the fence about faulty audio issues...

Definitely a new-ish direction for the group. Not my favorite release from them. But, I think it will grow on me.
As for the vinyl itself, my copy has significant surface noise on the first tracks on each side. The rest is a little quieter than my other two copies of the summer sky wave release. So, in total I have three copies of this on vinyl, and two copies of Con Todo El Mundo on vinyl. They are all awful pressings. Such a drag. -
Pressing is good, although mastering leaves a little to be desired. I believe this is the sound Khruangbin was going for? Very mid-range heavy, slightly muffled mastering. Con Todo El Mundo is not quite as muffled as this release.

Small warp (almost like a mound on side 1) upon delivery that causes surface noise on side 1, track 1. After that, it plays perfectly. Surprisingly, side 2 was not affected by the warp. I'm hoping that having it on the shelf between other albums will help flatten it out over time. Otherwise, it's a gorgeous album.

My copy sounds fucking great. Just picked it up from EoaE and played it all the way through. Not a single snap, crackle, or pop.

Delivery day! Wow, just getting done with side B... but super low noise floor and literally zero surface noise. Just a gorgeous player... looks super dope on my table.
