Edited 4 months agoI think this pressing sounds awesome - way better than my New Zealand pressing and AA1006 US pressing (which ittedly is a bit worn out).
Nice crispy top end on the vocals and cymbals (no distortion or sibalance) and the bass sits in the mix perfectly. Obviously this album was recorded so well that it sounds good on any pressing - but this copy beats all that I have heard.
Note: My copy has -1/-2 runouts, no 'ALLEN' -
Edited 2 years agoWow... just found this at a local store. This has taken me by surprise. What a fabulous sounding pressing. There seems to be some variation between the songs as if they were recorded /mastered at different times by different people. The majority of this album sounds are great

Just here because of the forthcoming UHQR release. Not sure if this Uk release is the one I have but tbh it’s one of the best sounding records I have. It’s tempting to want to hear the 45 remaster but the price is nuts (€222 at time of typing). They are also doing a UHQR of Katy Lied which as far as I know had major issues with the recording? Hard to see how they’ll justify a massive price like that with the tapes available? My only UHQR record is Kind of Blue. It sounds excellent but I much prefer the MoFi master, it’s amazing!

Edited 2 years agoTo be avoided, in of sound quality (unfortunately, at the moment I don't have any other vinyl editions of this, except for the 1999 MCA's CD). The sound is not brilliant and the soundstage is a bit too closed: it reaches its worst with "Deacon Blues", which seems to have been taken from a completely different and amateur mastering.

Avevo letto la recensione del disco su "Suono" o altra rivista del settore. Durante i giri per i miei mercatini,
fiere, etc. non l'avevo mai trovato.Domenica scorsa l' ho trovato gatefold made in England.
Credevo fosse un'edizione americana e non riuscivo a trovarla su discogs.
